A public stage record is a list of dates, a theatre, a writer, and the people who designed the production. The Internet Broadway Database page for the 2012 Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire is one such list. This note copies the fields that page showed on 15 October 2026. The same page also prints an opening-night cast. This note does not copy that cast.
The style note on costume is the place for how a costume credit does its job. The photograph on this page is an empty house and a bare stage.
The record
IBDB labels the production a play, a drama, and a revival. It calls the piece a drama in two acts and gives the setting as the French Quarter, New Orleans, 1952. Tennessee Williams is the writer. Terence Blanchard is credited with the music.
The first preview is 3 April 2012. The opening date is 22 April 2012. The closing date is 22 July 2012. IBDB counts 23 previews and 105 performances. The theatre is the Broadhurst Theatre in New York, for that whole span, and the page says The Shubert Organization owned or operated the house.
A BroadwayWorld article dated 22 April 2012, also read on 15 October 2026, matches the preview start, the opening night, the closing date, the Broadhurst, the director, and the music credit. Where the two pages agree, the table uses both. The preview count and the performance count appear only on IBDB.

What the record is for
You can use the table to answer a narrow question: when did this revival play, in which house, and who is credited for direction, scenery, clothes, light, sound, hair, music, and choreography. You cannot use it to reconstruct a private life, a rehearsal conversation, or a sentence nobody published.
The costume nomination is a credit, not a ranking of cloth. IBDB says Paul Tazewell was a 2012 nominee for Best Costume Design of a Play. It does not, on the text read that day, say the production won that award.
BroadwayWorld’s opening article also names performers. This archive leaves those names on that article. If you need the cast, open the IBDB production page and read the opening-night list there.
The film and culture section has this one record so far. A later note can add another production only after its own page has been read.
